James Suckling is a world-renowned wine critic who has great influence in the wine industry. His ratings play an important role. He started his own website in 2010.

James visited the Scottish Castle in Shandong to score Treaty Port’s wines. He evaluated two dry white wines (The Lady of Fashion 2016 and the Manchu Bride 2018), one rosé (The Debutante 2017), four dry red wines (The Prince 2016, The Philosopher 2016, The Inspector General 20914 and The Commissioner 2014). He gave our wines high praise.

The Lady of Fashion is made up of two kinds of white grapes, Chardonnay and Viognier. It has a fruity aroma of citrus, peach and apricot. The oak has a balanced aroma, elegant and refreshing, and the nose is round and full. This wine is perfect for steamed fish, shellfish, sashimi and sushi.

Master James Suckling praised the wines of Treaty Port. Aili Zheng, General Manager of the Scottish Castle, presented James with Chris Ruffle’s book “A Decent Bottle of Wine in China” and took a commemorative photo of the pleasant occasion.
